I have belief. Belief that God and my ancestors have made — and continue to make — humanity good enough, kind enough, curious enough, and resourceful enough to see the extraordinary good and value in me. I have no expectations on the degree of the visible manifestation of showing this to me (or anyone) nor any expectation of the timeline at which this will be seen.
I’m not sure there is really anything to add to this quote. If you internalize it, I hope it invokes both a sense of confidence and vulnerability all at the same time.
