As our problems become overwhelmingly complex, we must be prepared to devise and accept underwhelmingly simple solutions.

It is often the case that the original problem we set out to solve often seems minor in comparison to the problem of getting out of the complexity created by an attempted solution. We must think outside the box, find ways to simplify solutions, and give ourselves the best chance at solving problems…and ensure that the solution itself never becomes a new problem. Often times, this is not the sexiest solution, nor is it the most interesting to work through implementing. But it is the solution that will ultimately solve the problem, without creating additional ones. And though it may not be your job to creatively come up with simple solutions, it is your job — and everyone’s job — to accept and promote these solutions as they are presented.
